Philippine Arena nights: getting to Bocaue, and where to stay
The Philippine Arena and the Philippine Sports Stadium host the run of stadium-scale shows on this calendar, from LANY and My Chemical Romance this November to BTS and Bruno Mars in 2027. How the Bocaue trip works, and where to base yourself.
Six of the headline listings on this calendar play in one place: the Ciudad de Victoria complex in Bocaue, Bulacan, where the Philippine Arena and the Philippine Sports Stadium stand beside the North Luzon Expressway, about 30 kilometres north of Metro Manila. The run ahead is LANY on 7 and 8 November 2026, My Chemical Romance on 14 November, Alex Eala's exhibition day on 8 December, LaLaLa Fest on 14 January 2027, BTS at the Sports Stadium on 13, 14 and 16 March, and Bruno Mars on 15, 16 and 18 May. The two venues
The Philippine Arena is the largest indoor arena in the world, a 55,000 seat bowl, fully indoors and air-conditioned. The Philippine Sports Stadium, next door, is open-air: for the BTS nights in March that means dry season heat and a show after dark. Everything at the complex is scaled to the crowd, the gates, the food courts, the car parks and, above all, the queue for the ride home.
Getting there and back
On show days the pattern is set, and our getting there page sets it out in full. Point-to-point buses run from the big metro malls and transport hubs, private cars fill the expressway from mid-afternoon, and the complex empties slowly afterwards: treat the bus queue as the last act of the show and keep the next morning unplanned. Flying in, Clark International Airport is the closer gateway for these shows, with NAIA the other option and the longer ride. Leave earlier than feels necessary in both directions.
Where to stay
Almost nobody stays in Bocaue itself, and the nearest hotel towns, Marilao and Meycauayan, serve afternoon events better than late shows. The arena crowd bases in Quezon City or central Manila and rides the expressway: Quezon City shortens the northern run, and the hotels page works through the districts. Book early for the multi-night runs: three stadium nights in one week move room prices across the whole northern metro, not just near the venue.
